Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension Using Paired Reading Method

This study was conducted in the purpose to find out whether implementation of paired reading can improve students’ comprehension at SMP SATAP N.1 Beo Selatan or not. research delimited on use teaching students Selatan, especially eighth grade students. More specifically, narrative texts were selected as text taught during this research. The design is pre-experimental with one group pre-test and post-test. Class 8A classes academic year 2020-2021 who subjects class A consisted 30 all. In research, researcher used test which 20 questions form objective multiple choice instrument get data. data analysis proves that (1) mean score post-test 7.93 6.63, (2) standard deviation 0.59 whereas 0.95. These results confirm improves after applying treatment. It shows successful improving comprehension. Since effective be comprehension, English teachers are suggested implement a useful alternative for particularly texts.
